Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data is processed when you use this website, on what legal basis, and the rights you have. It is written for the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / DSGVO).

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., a Microsoft company, USA). When you visit, GitHub automatically processes technical connection data – including your IP address, the requested page, and your browser user-agent – in server logs to deliver the site and protect against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts

Typefaces are served directly from this website's own server. No font CDN or other third party (such as Google Fonts) is contacted to load them, so no data is shared with anyone for this purpose.

Web analytics

To understand how the site is used and to improve it, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). It is a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies or any other client-side storage, and does not track you across websites or build a profile of you over time. It records only aggregate measurements – such as page views, referring sites, and general device and country information – none of which identify you individually. Because no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent banner is required. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site's use (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The interactive demo

The demo on this site is pre-built. It runs entirely in your browser on a fictional example company's data: nothing you click or choose in it is sent to us or to anyone else, and it stores nothing on your device.

An earlier version of the demo generated results with AI from what visitors typed in. If you used it and ticked its consent box, your inputs and result are kept for at most one year from when you submitted them and then deleted automatically. No name, email or IP address is stored with them. You can withdraw consent or ask us to delete them at any time via the contact above.

Booking a call

Links to schedule a call open a Google Calendar appointment page (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA). If you book, Google processes the data you provide there (such as your name, email, and chosen time) to arrange the meeting, as a processor on our behalf. The legal basis is the performance of a pre-contractual step at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Google's own privacy terms apply to its service.

Contacting us by email

If you email us, we process the address and message content to respond to your enquiry, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, where applicable, pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

International data transfers

Some processors named above are located in the USA. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, it is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the providers' certification under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention

Consented inputs from the earlier demo are kept for at most one year from submission and then deleted automatically. Server and security logs are kept by the respective hosting providers for their standard periods. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection regarding your personal data, and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise any of these, email sebastian@structuralcontent.com.

Complaints

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. For this site that is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The current version always applies, with the date shown at the top.
